With the third John Wick film being released this week, critics are saying it is the best one yet. If that can’t persuade you to go and watch it then I don’t know what can! Here is everything you need to know about the filming of the third John Wick film!

Directed by Chad Stahelski, who also directed the other John Wick films. Stahelski has been involved in a number of other films but as a stunt-man, producer or actor.
Written by Derek Kolstad and Shay Hatten. Kolstad also wrote the two other John Wick films.
Stars include Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry and Ian McShane.
Keanu Reeves is best known for his lead role in the Matrix trilogy.
The film is 2 hours 10 minutes.
It is rated a 15.
The filming locations were New York and Morocco.
It was filmed last year between May and November.
The film starts an hour after John Wick Chapter 2 finishes. In the second film, it ends with Wick having a bounty on his head.
There were many actresses considered for the main lead role including; Eva Longoria, Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz.
The classical music used in the trailer is Movement 1: “Allegro Non Molto” from Concerto No. 4 in F Minor.
When shooting in Morocco, hundreds of stray cats kept coming on to set. The team had to manage this and had to cage them away as to not distract the dogs that were filming. Stahelski said “There had to be thousands. We went there in the winter when we scouted and they weren’t that prevalent. We were like, There’s a few cats here, we’ll get a cat department, and we’re going to move all the cats out. We show up to shoot and there were literally a thousand cats, okay? And the cats have b—s of steel. They’re not afraid of anything. We had to build massive walls of cages. They’re just stray cats, but we want to be good handlers. So, we built little cat houses, put them in, had to feed them. We had walls of cats.”
With the title of the film being John Wick 3: Parabellum you may be wondering what it means. Parabellum in Latin is ‘Si vis pacem, para bellum’, and it means “If you want peace, prepare for war”.
The first John Wick film was in 2014 and it seems like the third will be the final one after Reeves said he did not want the franchise to get destroyed.
Both Ruby Rose and Asia Kate Dillon were also in ‘Orange is the New Black’.
