Broadcast announce the arrival of our new Head of Development Duncan McAlpine, and our new Development Producer Stuart Miles.

Duncan has been a producer, series producer and development producer on over 200 shows for over 25 years in UK television. He started out as an Assistant Floor Manager on EastEnders and Doctor Who. Some of his highlights include Wheeler Dealers Trading Up, which was broadcast in over 200 worldwide territories, a daily live food and celeb chat show for Sky, and his own format, Britain’s Worst Driver which is still being commissioned somewhere in the world after 17 years. More recently, ITV broadcast his Inside London Fire Brigade featuring the first in-depth interviews from firefighters at Grenfell Tower.

Stuart is an experienced broadcaster and journalist, having graduated with a BA(hons) in Communication and Media Production in 1990. His production experience in the early days, includes being a researcher for BBC Radio 4 and an Assistant Producer for BBC daytime. Stuart is probably best known for his presenting stint on Blue Peter between 1994-1999, where he also trained as a producer and director. Stuart has worked on shows for most of the major broadcasters over the last 25 years, and has many links with talent both on and off screen Stuart now compliments his work as a broadcaster on both radio and TV.
